Man, that Lucnoca creature really seems like an anomaly. Kinda curious if it will make another appearance again and seems like it has quite a bit of wisdom.

The slime fight stuff was kinda mediocre imo, felt like one of the disappointing fights of this season.

Damn, we have more dragons now! Two of our more interesting characters introduced this week. Lucnoca's ability is freightening, but her calm demeanor and voice make it even scarier. RIP Lagrex and all the others who have died trying to fight her over the years. Note that she is just sitting there chilling and everyone wants to make a name beating her. Must be pretty sad to have had to kill so many bright and promising lives over the years. Also like how they never directly showed her abilities and how she beat the champions, leaves it to imagination and makes it way more interesting.

Alus now got two people out to get him in this tournament with Toroa and Lucnoca lol that will be fun to see play out. If anyone could defeat the legendary champion slayer, it would be the legend slayer.

Hey it's Rimiru! Psianop taking out one of the original party members who fought the demon lord was cool. One of the most interesting fighting styles we have seen since his body is just liquid.

Really hope we see more of Lucnoca she seems really strong and a compelling character. Am not too bothered about that slime though that fight was a little dull.

That was probably my least favorite content in the novel and Psianop is my least favorite character, so I wasn't looking forward to the episode that much.Lucunoca's part was pretty good, they even showed her defeating past champions, that was important as she is described as a champion-slaying legend, while Alus is described as a legend-slaying champion. The only thing they didn't mention is that Lucunoca is a peaceful dragon, she doesn't attack anyone, she lives alone and no one is sure that she exists. So, champions that challenge her, did that for the same reason Harghent challenged Vikeon back in s1, but Vikeon was at least a bad dragon.
Psianop's part had only 8 minutes or so and pretty sure it was noticeable that it was rushed. I don't really care that much, cause that was my least favorite part in the whole novel. At least they animated Neft naming him, which was my favorite part from there.

When it comes to voices though, don't think I like the choices for Lucunoca or Psianop's voices. Not how I imagined it... but I'll get used to it.. I guess. I got used to gray-haired child's voice after all >_>

Man if only Hagrent wouldve met Toroa first instead, they'd be the perfect duo with grudge against Alus.Gonna have to see how effective Lucnocas ice word arts is to judge how strong she rly is.

Finally got to see the other one from First Party and revealed Psionap was a sidekick of his.Still dont rly get why they abandoned him and didnt even let him out after their lost.

Almost nothing revealed for the winter dragon, I still don't know exactly how she fight, this seems like just a starting point of her journey. But I can see the similarity between her and Mount Everest. Mount Everest kills a lot of people, yet many people still want to climb that mountain just to claim that they've conquer the highest mountain on Earth. The only difference is that no one conquer her before. I kinda feel bad for all those challenger heroes, they seem like a good guy with highly trained body (drools), just to be perished by a false gallant belief. Can't they realized she just want someone to talk to?

The second half is much more interesting. Can we all agree that this is the best animated movement of slime character ever? I watch a lot of slime anime ranging from Rimuru to Puniru but nothing come close to this.

@Builder45 Unfortunately they won't get along considering Harghent fights Alus as a rival while Toroa is after Alus for revenge.

Finally we enter adaptation of volume 3, the volume where the tournament started in its final chapter, but considering the next episode only adapts about one Shura, I doubt they'll adapt the entire volume

Lucnoca is pretty much just a legendary Pokémon, I’ve been referencing Pokémon a lot lately and I’m not sure why lol, but she is really cool (get it) and I love the concept of her being this unconquerable beast that hates ending lives the way she has because people keep coming to her, including poor Lagrex who was another unfortunate soul consumed by the goal of defeating her, I really like the comparison someone else made to Mt. Everest too. I also loved getting to see Harghent again, I was a big fan of him in Season 1 despite him being not that exciting of a character in this world of OP warriors, it’s interesting that he’s trying to get Lucnoca to enter the tournament to take on Alus, I feel like Alus would win but you never know with Ishura.

And the 2nd half of the episode finally takes us into Volume 3 content with the introduction of Psianop, Rimuru can step aside, we got a new badass slime here. It’s cool that he was part of that same first party we heard about in the previous episode that Romzo was from, and we met another from it with Neft, his battle with Psianop looked pretty sick but Psianop ended up doing him in. I liked what the battle meant with Psianop trying to prove himself after his party abandoned him, I’m happy he won for that reason, but I do wonder how he’s gonna fare in the tournament since he’s just a slime with vast knowledge of combat, but at the same time how do you kill a guy that moves like that lol, I have no doubt it’ll be interesting no matter how he seems on the surface.

And RIP all those merchants, it wouldn’t be Ishura if many didn’t lose their lives during a character’s introduction, but that one fella survived looks like, I’ve heard stuff about him so I’m interested in seeing how he adds to the show.

This anime to me feels like watching all the character announcement teaser trailers of super smash bros without ever playing the game. I want to see them fight each other in this big tournament promised to us 19 episodes ago but I guess we never will unless they make a third season.

@N1h1l055 No shot they just adapt Uhak, his part is around 30 pages, they usually adapt around 70 pages per episode. So Uhak + Kazuki will be adapted next episode. Tu + Hiroto ep 9, while splicing the journalist in between the introductions

From the way she acted, It's pretty obvious she's peaceful. I don't think it had to be stated.

I was hoping to see Soujirou before I started this season, but the characters so far are interesting and it's been enjoyable so far.

This is such a compelling series. I'm loving every bit of it. Never watched the reincarnated as a slime, so this is my first introduction to a slime character. Quite fascinating really. I enjoy that not every player in the battlefield is a humanoid.

I have a question for the light novel readers. It's quite difficult to find a series that adapts so little volumes in each season. I just learned the first season only covered 1 volume of the light novel. That is practically unheard off. How much are they skipping, or is it an almost 1 to 1 adaption?

@TheJFamilia I read the novel from volume 2 so I don't know how much they cut from volume 1, but in volume 2 they cut some scenes and conveyed the scenes verbally or implied, Then there are also scenes whose order has been changed so as not to be too confusing for the audience.

Almost 1 to 1. No fight scenes were cut down, IIRC. I actually can't think of anything that was removed, though I'm sure a few minor dialogue and internal monologue were cut down.

@Askhai This is very unheard of for a light novel adaption. This is quiete an anomaly. I only wish Danamchi could have gotten this treatment hahahaha. I just hope they keep adapting this series. It's definitely worth it.

It is for Ishura's season 1, season 2 has more cut down though. Dialogue, scenes. All minor for the most part and, as before, no fight scenes were cut down.

I think its so, if there'll be season 3, it can actually start with the tournament.

Lagrex the Butchering Landslide and Harghent on the way to see Rosclay, though there's the graceful dragon of Lucnoca the Winter anticipating their arrival at the Igania ice lake. And with Lagrex wanting to prove his capabilities slaying the senile old woman of a creature, she clearly doesn't give him the light of the day as yet another challenger trying to outmatch her. Even when so many minia have done the same as Lagrex, the unwavering dragon just stands still, in the cold frigid winter storm, and gives her reason enough to go to Aureatia and challenge Alus, not before giving Lagrex his final breaths. For sure, Lucnoca stands as one legend the masses had yet ever seen.

In the Gosake Sand Sea, where the Lycan of Heng the Shallow Stepper decimates a travelling troupe of minia, he'd not have hoped to see TenSura's Rimuru...in the form of Psianop the Inexhaustible Stagnation. And the long-standing feud between him and Neft the Nirvana, as one of the remaining First Party members who've survived the war against the True Demon King, age may have caught up with the latter and the former trying to catch up to him proving his worth to stand alongside him back then, Psianop's got a long way to go.

This can only mean one thing: the First Party members were all strong as heck.

Got chills from both Lucnoca and Psianop.

Lucnoca feels more like a gentle mother than a granny—she doesn’t want to see those who challenge her die. Honestly, I’d rather call her "Mommy" than "Grandma." Hearing Alus’s incredible tales has piqued her interest, as she longs for a true challenge.

Psianop—I can't tell what species he is, but he looks like a slime. He has studied the arts from the Distant World and grown incredibly strong. It’ll be interesting to see how he fares against the strongest.
