| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Kaidou is a DRAGON!!! (I mean we knew it from the Opening lol) Shutenmaru is not a joke! When Kinemon said he is really strong, well... He is really Strong!! Usopp, Franky and Robin planning to invade the castle of Kaidou, but damn, this arc seems so complicated, I want to watch all the episodes!! Next Ep: Kaidou attacks! |

In the anime, there was an added scene that shown Kaido transform before appearing in the sky near luffy and company, how ever in the manga. There was no such transformation at all and he just seemingly appeared in the sky and at that moment when Law said "thats kaido" is when you knew he was a dragon. So the studio kind of lessened the impact and the surprise reveal a bit. I really wish TOIE would stop screwing with oda's story. |

| Ashura is one strong guy, his nipples were mesmerizing, and poor bull! And it's been a while since we've seen Usopp, Franky and Robin, I really missed them. That Usopp scene with the guy made me spill my liquid, oh man, it's great to see my favorite guy. Kaido's dragon form looked well animated, can't wait for the next episode. |

From Zoro to suddenly fighting the white tiger because him randomly getting lost while riding the lion is going too far with the joke, and now Kaido's reveal. Even then, they could have not shown that in the opening too. Not that today's episode was a huge surprirse to the audience. Toei is definitely not Oda. |

| Excellent episode, the filler was almost non existant and the build up was amazing. One thing that the anime didn't do well is Kaido's DF reveal, One Piece has this particular issue of spoiling some important elements or at least lessens the impact of things by showing them in the openings. Still, those last segments of Kaido were amazing and so was his transformation sequence. Shutenmaru's first appearance was good and so was that fight with Jack, he almost clapped his sorry cheeks. The fight definitely was improved from the manga. |

No kaido ordered jack to bring him the brats after the reveal was already shown. I don't remember but if it happened else where, then that was just added scenes. It happened the moment you knew kaido was a dragon in the manga. I have alot of complaints bout this, specifically with the reverie events with certain characters sabo appearing at the holy land, shanks, and even CP0's reveal. The studio added all these little scenes but it undermined the shocking reveal or surprise that oda set up with the way the plot was structured and written. A good example is the bounty reveal of luffy appearing just moments before brook actually reads the bounty or even a better example would be sabo. With sabo the moment he takes off the soldier helmet well riding the lift, you knew he was at the holy land and suddenly it dawned on you that the revolutionaries have started infiltrating, but the added scenes in the anime of him taking the guard uniform completely removed the whole shocking reveal of him suddenly being present at marijoie. Yes there was little tiny foreshadowing like the birds in the sky or the comment about the mountain, but oda knows how to foreshadow with out actually giving it away, the studio does not, there not the writers. I figured since we had a different director overseeing the One piece anime, that this would not happen any more but i guess I was wrong. Now i do hope that we get extended fight scenes in this arc because the manga was pretty fast paced in that regards and many things were off screened. So i hope the studio can flesh out these battles, but i do not want the anime to add their own story points to extend certain reveals of characters because it lessons the impact. There is still quite a few more revelations left to show in this first half of the wano arc and I hope they don't screw it up by hinting or just outright showing things before its time for the actual reveal. This was never was an issue in the past for the one piece anime, so why now? ODA is the writer and the studio needs to conform to his writing, its ok to extend certain moments but don't screw with the structure of oda's narrative. Now to end this on a good note, can i just say this. DRAGONBALL IS FINALLY A PART OF ONE PIECE... OMGGGGG. |

| Kaido’s apparition was truly epic, his dragon form is badass and the way the weather changes just with his presence, an imponent pirate. Shutenmaru can stand a fight against Jack, what a surprisingly strong guy we have here. |

| Jesus Christ what an episode. The beginning was pretty chill when they finally showing Usopp, Franky and Robin again. Poor Sanji, it isn't as bad as when he trained in the Kamabakka Kingdom, but Shinobu is definitely not his type :D I'm surprised by Shutenmaru. I mean Jack isn't someone you can mess with normally but it looked like they were evenly strong or Shutenmaru actually stronger. Kinemon was right about him being an important ally. These scenes with Kaido...omg. The tansformation into this giant dragon looked so good. I didn't expect him to fly to Jack. When he came out of the sky, just one word -> epic. So how will Luffy be able to fight this monster? This is such a suicide mission. Gear for example did nothing against Big Mom and even if it's just my assumption (because I'm an anime only watcher), I guess she isn't as strong as Kaido. I can't wait for the next episode. This will be so awesome. |

| Shutenmaru is an interesting figure. Seems like deep inside he is still very loyal to Oden-sama. Kaido's dragon appearance was cool to watch. The transformation was good animated. Looks like the gang is in deep shit. Interesting to see what happens next, which I will watch right now. xD |

| Shit is going down! What a epic introduction/transformation of Kaido in this arc. I still remember his first introduction, falling out of the sky - oh man that was also really good. Loved the dragon scenes and it gave me the chills. "How can you defeat such a monster"; was my very first thought - i'm so curious how these things will play out in the end. I have the feeling the Wano Arc has started properly now. Like many other people, I really cannot understand why they spoiled his devilfruit (?) in the opening. |
