Yeah....and then she says that Hillary is a victim of a "sexist media". Her statement about Obama is election rhetoric and you know it. If not, it makes her a hypocritical sexist and a racist! Why did she accept the nomination if she knew it was fucking bogus??? That's total bullshit. She is a fucking phony if she was willing to go along with that. Is that the only reason that Clinton is a viable candidate....because she's a woman???
Goddammit....is this what the democratic party is being reduced to??? How can we expect the general electorate to get past race and gender when we can't even do it ourselves???
Talk about Obama all you want but his popularity is not due solely to the fact that he's a black guy. If that's all it took, Eddie Murphy would have been elected president long ago.
Hillary is alienating all but her most ardent supporters with these tactics. If she thinks all dems will vote for her no matter what she does to get the nomination, she's dead wrong. I'm beginning to alter my thinking as well....I might go Libertarian or Nader if she gets the nomination is she keeps this up.
that is an exit poll in one state though......i don't think the democratic party is that stupid...the obama camp and the clinton camp knows their policies are almost identical and they know that voting for whoever wins...which will probably be obama is the best way to go....
First i would say she was ay an event she says not as a Hillary spokeperson but as a paid talking head which she is on Fox and other places.She is not saying she or Obama were only in the places they were because that she was a woman or he is black but in both cases it was obviously part of the thinking of why they would be good new kinds of choice to have.Getting past things doesn't mean their not recognized.She deny's admatantly that it was any sort of attack on Obama or meant in any negative way.As she thinks and I agree that it was great day she was put on the ticket with Mondale.I'm sorry I think this is clearly something being seized on by the Obama campaign as they have been being criticized off late as not being tough enough.But they are going to probably hurt themselves in the long run with going after people like Ferrraro.She don't need Obama like he will want her help if he is the nominne in the fall.I saw her on TV she is really incensed at what they are trying to infer she was saying that she says she did not say.She usually is easy going on Tv but she said flatly they better stop this now.

LOL....he will want Ferraro's help in the general election? First, I doubt most voters even know who the fuck she is and, secondly, why would Obama want the support of a self-confessed phony who was slaughtered in the general election by Ronald Reagan? I have lost all respect for Geraldine Ferraro.

Well take it from somebody in NJ she is a major political dem figure here in the NY area.She is a big fund raiser for dem candidates,you watch Obama and his campaign will back off this because she was not saying anything disparging about him at all.

They have already "backed off" because they are running a positive campaign and Hillary isn't. All Obama said about her comments is that they were "absurd" ....with which I agree 100%. I shudder to think what Hillary would say if an Obama staffer or supporter would have made a similar comment.

The Ferraro saga only demonstrated the poor leadership and management skills of Mrs. Clinton. Her poor insight led to a divided Democratic party.
Technically, Barack Obama is not 100% "Black", Obama is a "mixed" race with a white mother from Kansas and a father from Kenya.
Ferraro has failed to understand Obama was raised in a "white" environment by her "white" mother and her grandparents.
Also the environment in which Obama was raised is totally different than the 48 states. Hawaii is the most diversified state with the highest "mixed" race in all 50 states. (Also the highest marriage rate between Asian men and white women in United States !). Black remains a small minority in Hawaii. There were only a few Blacks in Obama high school when he went there. But the early childhood training and education Obama received made him to "think" like a white man but things changed as he went to NY and Boston to school and worked in Chicago.
Mrs. Clinton has nobody to blame but herself with poor management skills in her campaign and poor leadership among her staff. Her campaign Manager never run a Federal campaign and was brought in after S. Carolina loss.
Ferraro is so stupid by saying those things. She may as well say all the crimes in NYC are committed by thugs who just happened to be Black !

While initally I didn't see anything negative in Ferraro's comments the more I hear and what she has said since makes me re-think that.I thought she was just matter of factly pointing out that Obama (and Clinton is for that matter) are a new and different breakthrough kind of candidate and I don't think it is a negative to point out that each is breaking new ground as being the 1st really competetive woman or black to run for president.She should apologize for the comments I think or the Clinton campaign should have nothing to do with her if she doesn't.I know Hillary has already said she does not agree with the comments but that is not enough,eithier get Ferraro to apolgize or break all ties to her.This is not helpfull to the prospects of eithier in Nov.:2 cents:
I think for the sake of the Democratic Party, heck for the country, Obama and Clinton need to sit down and reach a compromise. The longer the fight for the nomination goes, the uglier and more divisive it's going to get thus making McCain's job all the more easier. There's practically no way either of them can get to the 2025 or so delegates needed to win the Nom outright anyway.
How about a Clinton-Obama ticket, with Clinton to serve only one term. And she in turn will back him fully in the 2012 election.

The Clinton Machine is not about compromise. Hillary is all about political gain. She could care less about the Democratic Party or the Country. Her actions are based upon her own aspirations and legacy building. That is the singular reason she stayed with her Husband after he broke the sanctity of their marriage and he publicly humiliated her.
Hillary has been one of the most vocal detractors of Bush and his supposed theft of the election. She is on record as believing Bush stole the election; pointing out that he lost the popular vote. She will now attempt to do the same. If she loses the popular vote and has fewer delegates, she will take this to the Convention and attempt to steal the nomination by means of the Super Delegates...
AH the super delegates are part of the designed structure of the party.They get to make their own rules thank you.
