Beautiful job ! One more example of "I didn't discover any new techniques but I witnessed a flawless execution of those I already knew"... And it still blows my mind. Thanks for sharing, my good sir. This is really nicely done and really cool result. Keep up the good work !
It’s a little creepy that this came out right when I’m working on something that I want to render with a pastel look, awesome in-depth video and great result, looking forward to rewatching when I render
This work is incredible and so pleasing to look at. And you explain things so clearly, I am genuinely going to attempt this pastel-like art style for myself.
My toxic trait is making a detailed guide for steps to take to be able to instantly build 3d models like this.....and not touching the guide ever again.
i love the final result, the model without the texturing and shit looks so different from what i'd expect the final result to look like i get too wrapped up in making sure my faces look good without texturing and completely neglect the idea that the texturing will carry it anyways 😂
Rather than creating a new mask for each color you can create an image with an alpha value of 0 then plug it into both the “factor” and “B” (or “A”. I keep mixing them up). This makes it so whatever you do is overlayed on top and reduces the amount of resources hogged up. Only caveat is that u cant paint in viewport because it makes the entire model transparent when in texture painting mode
Had a question about when you said "The neck generally lines up with the eyes", what did you mean by that? Like which part of the eye and from what view? I've never heard that before so I was curious. Also gotta say this is a really well done guide. I've been using blender as an amateur for years and a lot of your workflow is so streamlined! Really well done
I think I'm running into some problems :( Everything works fine on the material preview screen, but when rendered the model face becomes completely black ;;
Thanks for watching~~

im aware. face painting in this style though requires immense precision, as a result its better to keep them separate
