| In the OP/ED that they showed there was an image of Shoko and another girl both lying naked with their eyes closed. I bet the other girl with the long black hair is the bad guy's dead girlfriend who is also dead, and then you have the hero and the antagonist having similar life stories where the girls they loved are dead from the war. Hell, maybe he will fall in love with her and then she'll die or something. I've learned to never take the images in the OP/ED for granted. Many many times they foreshadow or contain symbolic clues about the shows. |

| So let's sum up. They use the freakin predictable melodramatic situation in a horrible pace and kill the female interest we don't give a fuck about (character wise, I kinda liked her looks), with a MC that suffers from beta behavior that can pilot a samurai mecha and cure a broken arm with apparently, no problems - and we get to know how the other characters will be treated here. Let me give you a tip: The ending was cool though. Definitely watching. Also, I can take anything better than Majestic Prince. |

| Welp I'm hooked. I loved everything from the character designs (minus Haruto; but mostly because it's Hoshino-sensei's chara designs~~), to the music, to the story. THAT OP. This was just really, really great, and I really like it. Much, much better than Majestic Prince which, at the moment, is a bit boring. I just really liked this and I'm really looking forward to more. |
| its like Gundam Unicorn (im thinking the way the robot took a snap at his neck, is like Gundam Unicorn turning you into a processor to activate Unicorn's destroyer system, basically he probably cannot remember anything after the robot fight scene since the robot controlled him rather than the other way around like Unicorn Gundam me thinks)/ Gundam Seed (with there seed) peaceful day then someone decided to f the day up, then robot pops in guy enters xD etc. Mecha fan myself I really think its good and the CGI for the robots are epic. The fight and sfx went pretty well and i like the eye designs from the characters. Although at first i thought that legless Dorry robots looked ugly as hell and the show would be bad but not until ValVrave makes its first appearance gave me the chill! BUT it does raise my curiosity as to how that random ugly legless robot find its way near shoko and randomly takes a shot at her lol.. they just killed the initiative. Or is it because the first episode cut the the chase and skipped much of the original story thats why it feels like what happened to shoko was weirdly off lol. I just hope Haruto's character isn't someone the same as Ouma Shu or the pig guy from accel world..... to atleast make Valvrave (the robot) Epic. |

| I have a hard time deciding which was worse: Majestic Prince or Valvrave? Neither of these shows have a shred of dignity in them, but Valvrave lacks even the basics of decent mood transitions and tries to combine things like fanservice with scenes of destuction and chaos. Tasteless and overall bad. |

Its not a picture for the second season, it's was a key visual for this season. Though I do agree, sunrise has a no body = no death policy. |

| The first half was a little meh because mc has a bad attitude towards his life. Second half was badass. The very end was crazy he went zombie on that guy after being stabbed and shot. Looks like this might be good as long as it dosnt get weird or everybody dies. 4/5 |

| Wow, I must just be a little slow, and German isn't my first language (or even my second), but even after the whole "third reich" thing and the weird names of the teenage Dossian operatives, it completely slipped by me that the Dossian are either German or just have a German motif going on. And what's with those poor boys' names? They couldn't even get real German names, they're simply alphanumeric coded? L-11, A-3, H-9, X-1, Q-4? No wonder they're all emo angry teens? I'd be mad too if someone kept calling me a name that sounds like a coordinate from the game Battleship! Question though: Who is D-zero? Did L-11 call Haruto that, or was he thinking about someone else? And why "zero" anyway, when the German word for zero is "null"? Why suddenly the English? I guess we'll find out more later. |
| I was really iffy about this episode until the last five minutes or so. The music (for the OP, at least) was phenomenal. I also had a preconceived idea that the CG was going to look ugly...probably due to the trailers and such. But it was actually good; obvious, but realistic. That teaser at the end makes me so curious though! Maybe when Haruto pressed the button to give up his humanity (in the Valvrave) it made him immortal like? It just brings up so many questions... Anyways, I'll be watching the first few episodes of this; see how it goes. |

Not normal names, or these kids would be considered more......human, per say? That's what I think. When you have a letter and a number as a name, that's pretty abnormal. It's like, you're no longer an individual but part of a system. Since this has Nazi influence screaming everywhere, I think that's all intended.... Question though: Who is D-zero? Like, he was one of them. Something happened maybe 3 years ago and became human once more.... ..... L-11 = Road Kamelot!! ...... Yeaaahhh right... Actually, L=11 should be Kanda Yuu.) As you said, we'll definitely find out more later. |

Just because it has superficially similar elements, doesn't mean it is going to have the same end result. Things can be more or less than a sum of their parts. This one happens to be of the latter kind. A prime example of a tryhard anime. Also dropped, and would give it 2/10. |
| First episode was pretty awesome! Looks like the main character is immortal after being on that robot. I think a contract was signed after he pressed the "Yes" button making him immortal. Seriously, that ending though. Holy crap what happened to him!??!? Another anime I'll be looking forward to this season. Put this anime into my 10+ other animes I'm gonna watch this season. O__O |
