We'll have to download the game again. I don't think DPC plans on splitting downloads based on seasons or episodes until after the full game is complete. Don't take my word on that though

I was notified that he said he will be releasing update patches that can be merged with the already downloaded whole. So a much smaller sized download is what we can expect.

Ah. I thought those patches were just for bugfixes. That's much more reassuring though, my external drive can continue living a healthy life

The updates are now released as patches as well as whole games. So whether ep 6 is 2GB or 4GB, it will be available as one patch for those that already have the 0.5.0 - 0.5.2 versions to add to these versions, and as a 10GB+ full game for new players.
It's also possible that, as this game gets bigger they may split the main game download into separate smaller parts for new players, i.e. the Season 1 (eps 1-4) download, and the Season 2 (eps 5-8) download. Being a new player and having to download a potentially 14GB game in one go can be quite prohibitive, so they might split it later.

I vote for this because, for example, I can only download 10gb per day for reasons of my house, you already know people using the internet and I do not like that they using the connection when I donwloading games
